Manager's Meeting Decisions

The following decisions were made at the Managers Meeting. They are to be adhered to at future Super Eight Tournements unless altered at future Meetings.

a) Balls:
When accepting the invitation to take part in next years Tournament each Team must now pay $100
to the host School.

    $50.00 for Administration fee
    $50.00 for Ball fees

b) Plate Play Off
Points are taken through from Pool Play Points continue to be allocated for Plate event.
Round Robin is played whereupon each Team plays the Two Teams they have not played in Pool Play.

Final Placings determined by Points Total.

c) Playing of Substitute (No 5) Player
The Rules need to be amended to state the following:
"The substitute (No 5) player can now play during a Fixture but the Teams must be written down
before play commences".

This brings Super Eight in line with the National Tournament.

The aim is to give the No 5 player as many games as possible while recognising that no team is
strengthened by the inclusion of the No 5 player.

d) Centralised Venue

This was raised particularly to help Gisborne Boys' High School and New Plymouth Boys' High School
but there was not unanimous agreement with this proposal.

It would need to be raised at a Super Eight Principals' Meeting.

Thanks
My thanks to the Managers of all Teams. You helped contribute in making the 2002 Tournament a very successful event indeed.

Special thanks to Andrew Hope who was in charge of all the games at Pukekura Park.
